The Team

Vince Wilson – FOUNDER AND CREATOR

“… Wilson is perhaps the foremost expert on the technology of ghost hunting in the US.”
- Wired Magazine

Vince has always been interested in science, history, and the unexplained since as far back as he can remember. Together with a long-time high school friend, he founded the Baltimore Society for Paranormal Research. He soon set his sites higher and formed the Paranormal Investigators Coalition — a collection of groups dedicated to serious paranormal research and scientific observation. Wilson is the author of Ghost Tech, Ghost Science, Baltimore’s Guide to Haunted Places and Ultimate Ghost Hunter. He has lectured on ghost hunting technology and has also appeared on all the major local TV stations in the Baltimore area and on numerous radio stations in regards to his work in paranormal research. He has also been featured on Creepy Canada in 2005 aboard the USS Constellation and the Discovery Channel in 2006 for an investigation he did at the Edgar Allan Poe House in Baltimore. He currently lives in one of America’s most haunted towns – Harpers Ferry, WV!

Laura Cleveland- INVESTIGATOR

Laura can’t remember a time that she wasn’t interested in the paranormal. Growing up, she had a variety of experiences that increased after the death of her mother. Always having a fascination with survival after death and the energy that is life, Laura is now able to explore her fascination with a scientific twist. Since joining BSPR in 2008, She has been able to put her theories on past life regression and spirit communication to the test under BSBR’s scientific approach. When not working with BSPR, Laura pursues her interests in theta healing and vibrational medicine, while working as an animal communicator and Reki practitioner in addition to working her mundane job in the banking industry.

Beth Ford Noratel - INVESTIGATOR

Beth Ford graduated from Mount St. Mary’s College with a Bachelor of Science in 2003.  In June of that year, she began her graduate work at UMBC where she is working to earn her PhD in Biology studying cell migration.  She has been fascinated (and a little scared!) of the paranormal since she was a young child.  Her mother used to insist there was a ghost in their house.  Beth made a deal with it, you don’t bother me, I won’t bother you!  As she grew up she became intrigued by haunting phenomenon and has always wondered if there was a scientific explanation for different phenomenon.  Are ghosts just a figment of our imagination, or a by-product of strong electromagnetic fields, or is there life after death?  She met Vince Wilson at a workshop a year ago and was quite happy to meet someone of like mind.  She is now one of the Senior Investigators of the Baltimore Society for Paranormal Research and is looking forward to future outings.

Russ Noratel – INVESTIGATOR

Russ first took an interest in the paranormal field because of some experiences that he had at an early age and as a teen. Russ became increasingly interested in the paranormal in his mid 20’s, when he realized that others were conducting scientific research in the field.  Since getting into the field, he has been on dozens of investigations and worked numerous cases.  It was in early 2008 when Russ found his way to one of Vince Wilson’s workshops.  After the workshop, Russ was invited to join The Baltimore Society for Paranormal Research (BSPR).  In July 2008, he was offered and accepted the position of Senior Investigator with BSPR and took over leadership of the organization in September 2009. Russ educates those who wish to learn about paranormal investigating by lecturing at workshops and conferences across the country.  He appeared in a paranormal investigating training video for MonkeySee.com in 2008.  Russ has written articles for several publications online and in print.  In December 2008, his first book, Ellicott City’s Guide to Haunted Places, hit store shelves to rave reviews.  Website: www.bsprnet.com

Ron Peacock – INVESTIGATOR

Ron’s interest in the paranormal started at a young age, always fascinated by mythology, folklore and the unexplained. What started as a curious interest became more five years ago when a personal experience in his new home sent him looking for answers.Using his work experience in various stages of residential and commercial mechanical engineering ( including electrical, plumbing and Hvac ) he set out to find the true causes to not only his own experiences, but also the many unknowns that had fascinated humanity throughout the ages. After joining one paranormal investigation group and forming another, in 2008 he found a home in BSPR. There he discovered like minded individuals who”s quest for the truth matched his own. While a strong believer that anything is possible, he strives to find all explainable sources first before focusing on the unexplainable. Living by the motto, “Always question everything, what’s left might hold the answers we all are searching for”  Although he has yet to find the answers to his questions, along with his colleagues and friends in BSPR, he continues searching for himself and helping others along the way.

Kathryn Preston – INVESTIGATOR

It all began for Kathryn when she grew up with a civil war cemetery in her neighborhood.  The interest in the paranormal increased during three years at Krauth House on Seminary Ridge in Gettysburg, PA.  The many and varied experiences Kathryn has  had have pushed to learn about the paranormal.  In the Spring of 2009 the quest brought her to BSPR.  She found a home and quickly went from a newbie to an investigator in training with a desire to learn as much as possible.  Kathryn has her eye on participating in investigations and making it to the Senior Investigator level.
Kathryn spent many years as a parish pastor for the United Methodist Church and has conducted many home blessings.  Currently her days are spent as a Consultant in the Employee Benefits field.

INVESTIGATOR TRAINEES:

Michelle Bettin

As a child, instead of running to the children’s section of the library, Michelle went right for the New Age and Paranormal section.  She was intrigued by the ghost in her Aunt’s house.  As a teenager, Michelle began reading tarot cards, and helped people with their businesses and relationships.

Years later, Michelle found the Baltimore Society for Paranormal Research and was excited not only to hear their lectures but to find people that can answer her questions and understand her fascination with the paranormal.
On a personal level, Michelle feels that the more she can learn from paranormal research, the more she can become spiritually connected in her religion.

Laurie Ann Beyerle

Laurie has always been interested in the paranormal as early as she can remember. In fact, she had been told that she experienced “ghosts” as early as 2 years old, but remembers seeing her first unexplained phenomenon at 5 years of age. What she would like to learn, as is most others interested in this field, are they actually real or just part of our vivid imagination. Could there be another dimension co-existing with our world? Hopefully by working closely with other team members with greater experience, these many unresolved questions may find answers.
